Mathematical Functions in Adhoc Module
In Adhoc module we have number of mathematical functions which can be applied on different adhoc reports. Here are some of the mathematical functions with clear explanation.
This Document will help you in How to perform mathematical functions in Adhoc. For this we will use travel metadata and create Top 5 average cost of travel and Bottom 5 average cost of travel employee wise.
Drag the Employee Name and Cost as show below.
Now after selecting the columns apply Group By function on Employee Name Column and Average function on cost column as shown below.
Then Click on Generate Report.
Next, To arrange the any columns in ascending or descending order.
In order to arrange the column in ascending order click on ascending icon of cost column then click on generate report.
Thus, the generated report is average cost of travel for all the employees in ascending order.
Similarly, We can arrange in descending order as well by clicking on the descending icon.
In order to limit this data to certain value, say bottom 5 values, create the report in ascending order.
Go to "Settings" tab. Enter the required value in "Sample", in this case it would be 5. Click on Generate Report.
Here is the output with bottom 5 values.
Similarly, we can create report of 5 employees with the highest average cost of travel.
