In this article, we will be providing a brief on Step Charts. These charts are specialized form of line charts that uses only horizontal and vertical lines for connecting the data points. These Charts are useful in cases where we want to show data that changes value at discrete but non-uniform intervals of time. Step charts are similar to line charts except that it shows a “step” to connect to the next data points instead of a direct line.
Step Charts are preferred over line charts in such cases because they form a step-like structure and bring out the rise and fall in data better.
